About the Event
Make your appointment with life and join Sarah and Hang for a mini-retreat to relax, heal and open your heart. You'll be guided through many wonderful nourishing mindfulness activities to deepen your loving awareness practice and learn techniques to take home and continue with your well-being journey. Mindfulness is a kind of energy that we generate when we bring our mind back home to our body and get in touch with what is going on in the present moment, within us and around us. Mindfulness is not hard work. It’s very pleasant and relaxing, and we don’t need extra time to do it. There’s an art to finding creative ways to generate the energy of mindfulness, peace, and happiness in everyday life.
Hang and Sarah will share their mindfulness practice and experience in the tradition of Buddhist Zen teacher, author, poet and peace activist Thich Nhat Hanh and the Plum Village spiritual community. Activities and topics include:

WHAT TO BRING Your lovely smile, openness and a simple vegetarian lunch like a salad or sandwich so we can guide you through a short mindful eating activity as a group.
All levels are welcome. This mini-retreat is suitable for beginners or seasoned meditation practitioners ages 11 and up.
