FAR INFRARED HEATING

Light therapy while you move

Our studio is heated with far infrared heating, which gently heats your body in a non-invasive manner. The heat from far infrared panels can penetrate 6-8 inches into the body which helps promote healing, detoxification, and recovery.

The panels are hung from the roof above you, and the heat penetrates into your body at an even pace. 
Far infrared light causes blood vessels to expand, which leads to improved circulation and allows the immune system facilitate the healing process.
Despite the heat induced, far infrared light does not cause a significant rise in core body temperature or in blood pressure, which makes it safe and comfortable. 
Far infrared technology was originally developed by NASA, and the healing benefits have been consistently demonstrated. 
It offers a safe and natural alternative therapy, and simply being in the heat itself can assist in the alleviation or reduction of a number of health issues such as muscle pain and spasms, arthritis, and shoulder or joint stiffness.
Flowing in this heat with a yoga practice offers a tremendous amount of benefits for the body.

FLOW YOGA

This popular class incorporates a range of Hatha Yoga styles including Vinyasa, Anusara and Tantric Yoga. 
Flow through a sequence designed to stretch and strengthen you from head to toe, and open you energetically one chakra at a time. 
No prior yoga experience is necessary, and all levels are welcome. 
Unwind the kinks, breathe out the tension and float on out of each class.

YIN YOGA

Increasingly popular is the Slow Flow movement. We take time to pry apart movements, to drop deeply into shapes, to breathe through sensation. Yin leaves us no where to hide, as we hold positions, sensations, shapes for long enough to absorb their wisdom. Breathing into and through sensation, this practice teaches us to be more responsive, less reactive, and resets our fight, flight, freeze mode. Everyone will benefit from Yin. 
No experience is necessary, all levels are welcome.

BARRE CLASS

Barre incorporates concepts of Ballet, Pilates, and functional movement, to create a joyful class focused on alignment and postural strength. Barre is the ultimate workout for sculpting your body, while increasing rhythm and coordination. Barre is about dance, concentration, breath, precision and flow.
No dance experience, no tutu's and no leotards required.

PILATES

Pilates is a total body exercise, developed a century ago by Joseph Pilates, to rehabilitate injured WW1 soldiers and later, for strength and conditioning of dancers. 
Pilates is traditionally low-impact, focusing on flexibility, muscular strength and endurance. The exercises are performed with an emphasis on precision technique; balanced postural alignment; core strength; controlled, flowing movements; and using breath to center the mind.

SOUND BATH

Take 45 minutes out of your week as a circuit breaker, to stop, focus inwards, relax and return to your body.
Immerse yourself and rebalance with this guided meditation for relaxation, and sound bath using quartz crystal singing bowls. This healing and rejuvenating hour asks nothing of you, the words and the sounds work for you, to bring your energy back into balance and to deeply rest your mind. All you need to do is show up, and lie down.
A sound bath provides the fastest way to re-harmonise energy in the body. Scientific studies show that sound can produce changes in the autonomic, immune, endocrine and neuropeptide systems. Every atom, molecule, cell, gland, and organ of the human body absorbs and emits sound. The entire body, as well as our brain waves in a relaxed state, vibrates at a fundamental frequency of about 8 cycles per second. When we get dis-ease in the body our vibrations change. The notes of the quartz crystal bowls are tuned to specific vibrational frequencies (notes) found within the human body. Thus when the sound moves through the atmosphere and touches us, it causes our cells to move in different directions at a different speed, in rhythm with the sound wave. This puts us in harmony with the sound wave. The sound penetrates into our very cells and rebalances them through oscillation and resonance. The best part – you don’t need to do anything but be there. It’s a passive meditation where you simply ‘be’ in the presence of the sounds, and let the bowls do the work for you. 

CALLANETICS

Callanetics is a series of stretching and contracting exercises that improve muscle tone and strength using small, gentle movements. With a focus on frequent repetitions of precise movements, Callanetics promises a strong, lean and relaxed body. Callanetics is built on the concept that your superficial muscles are supported by secondary, deeper muscles. Callanetics targets the deepest muscles – lifting saddlebags, toning inner thighs, tightening upper arms and cinching the waist almost instantly. 

Callanetics was initially developed to alleviate lower back pain, and was found to do that very effectively, with the added bonus of rapidly toning and strengthening the whole body. There is no pressure on joints, no impact, and a whole host of benefits to your shape and strength. It’s suitable for all levels, all ages, all abilities.

Callanetics made a huge splash in the 80’s with devotees dropping a dress size in 10 hours of practice (it’s famous claim) and has enjoyed a recent resurgence in popularity with the benefits of it being recognised around the globe. 

It’s hailed as the fastest toning and reshaping system in the exercise world.

A 30 minute blast of the Callanetics classics, designed to strengthen and tone your stabilising muscles fast.

Excellent for injury rehabilitation, for body shaping and for all over strength, this quick class packs a serious punch. 
Zero impact, suitable for any level, and specifically designed to strengthen your core, SuperCal is something we should all work into our week. 

QI GONG

This ancient energy art form has captivated us all.
The sequenced movements of the Qi Gong follow the pathways of the energy meridians that run through the body and trace the outer edges of our energy fields. This system acts to harness willpower, to focus, and to help practitioners channel their energy. Expect to connect to something profound and unveil your inner power.

MUMS & BUBS

A postpartum specific session designed to unwind and unkink the demands new motherhood places on the body, whilst your baby watches on, sleeps, drinks or enjoys the company of other little people. From 6 weeks to pre-crawl. This class is not suitable for already crawling babies or toddlers.
Bring a play mat for bub, and a yoga mat for mum.

PRENATAL YOGA

A carefully designed multifaceted approach to exercise that encourages stretching, mental centering and focused breathing. Learn modifications to safely continue your practice during pregnancy, and prepare for birth with like-minded others. Suitable for all stages of pregnancy.
