A Yogic Symphony.

  • Zero Point Yoga Drysdale 21 Clifton Springs Road Drysdale, VIC, 3222 Australia (map)

A healing, resting and fascinating journey of sound and deeply restorative yoga.
Experience the surrender of restorative yoga, using bolsters, cushions, blankets and any other comfort you choose to sink into absolute effortlessness. With some similarities to Yin, restorative yoga requires only absolute rest with no muscular or target area activation – just completely supported and propped shapes held for at least 5 minutes to a soundtrack of live ambient cello and soundbath.

Be held and guided by two of Melbourne most experienced sound practitioners, yoga and meditation teacher / musicians, in a safe, soft, peaceful and welcoming atmosphere at Zero Point’s beautiful Drysdale studio.

Expect:

  • Genuinely drop into and access the deepest rest and restoration

  • Immerse in the divine instrument that is the cello with one of Melbbourne’s top players, composers and improvisers

  • Enjoy a thoughtfully curated experience that is wholly unique.

  • Journey and reconnect back to self as you slow down, turn in, or simply drift off

Your Hosts

Mia Shaw

Mia is a highly experienced yoga/meditation teacher and sound practitioner who spent 2022 as a senior teacher at Zero Point Yoga, practicing with and teaching this incredible community.
As a life-long musician and yogi, Mia’s joy is combining her sound work with yoga offerings and has a special and long term bond with Cellist/Composer Anita Quayle

Anita Quayle

Anita Quayle is a contemporary cellist and composer with a flair for the unconventional.
She began her training at the Victorian College of the Arts (VCA) to pursue artistic excellence.

The ability to be able to connect with others while creating music that doesn't fit the mould of the traditional role of the cello has not only further opened my eyes to a deeper joy and sense of freedom in music, it's also been of great benefit to the artists sound palettes that I meet and have the great fortune to collaborate with.
